Using a Secure Gateway Server

A Secure Gateway server is an Internet gateway server that secures communications between ICA Clients and MetaFrame XP servers. If your Secure Gateway server is running in Normal mode, no configuration on the client is required. If it is running in Relay mode, you need to specify the details on the client. If you are not sure if Secure Gateway is on your network, or you are not sure what mode it is running in, contact your MetaFrame administrator.

To specify Secure Gateway details:

  1. Select Use Secure Gateway (relay mode).
  2. Type the fully qualified domain name and port of the Secure Gateway in the Secure gateway address and Port fields respectively.
