Personal Information
I have been a full time faculty member at Nassau since
1979. My post secondary education began at NCC and
so, it
seems, I have come full circle. After being a
student NCC I
transferred to New York University and earned a baccalaureate degree in
Electrical Engineering (B.E.E.E.). I later earned a
masters
degree from SUNY at Stony Brook. Beyond that I have
annually
attended industry and professional seminars and NSF (National Science Foundation)
courses to remain current in the developments taking place in
electronics and telecommunications. I have served in
the
past as the president of the Council of Engineering Technology in New
York State (CETNYS)
and
president of the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Electrical
Technology Association. I am presently the chairman
of the
scholarship committee of the New York State Engineering Technology
Association (NYSETA).
When not involved with education, my wife and I are avid country
dancers. We always enjoy learning new patterns in
two step,
waltz, west coast swing and east coast swing. I am
presently
on the board of directors of the Long Island Country Music Association
and developed their web site (www.licma.org).
